See if ur old service provider can unlock it for u. I know T Mobile will do it for free if thats ur provider. If not u may have to look for a cellphone shop that unlocks phones. Don't know the cost in Canada but in the U.S. its between $5 to $20 dollars. Hope that helps

I have the exact same phone and mine is unlocked.  Trust me, you can try all you want but you are missing frequency bands.  If that doesn't convince you, then use MFI loader to unlock your phone.  I know it will work because I unlocked mine.  Let me know if you need the program.
