I have trouble with my BB Curve 8900 Javelin. The trouble is i can not open excel attachment file i received from email. My friend who also has Javelin experienced the same problem.

I have Doc to Go. The profesional version in which it can create new documents.
But the excel attachment still unable to open.Author:

Does the excel app work without opening a exce doc. Try to launch just the app or try a different document. It might be the version of document it is, 2007 vs 2003.Author:

if its .xlsx then its excel book for ms office 2007, my version the one i got on here opens them for me or .xls the standard will open. But the open office .ods doesnt work on the bb(well not mine anyways)
if i were you if you can, ill save the orginal on the pc to xls format. if that doesnt work, what size is the file?
