Anodyne therapy is a new treatment that many patients are calling a ¡®miracle medicine¡¯that is free of drugs. The Anodyne therapy is conducted with a light-emitting device. The machine consists of a small black pad that is no bigger than an average persons hand, attached to a cord and a small black box.

The black pad has about 60 diodes in it, the diodes, which are light emitting devices, located inside the black pad and strapped to the patient. The black box is then switched on and the treatment begins.

The machine, or black box as it is affectionately known, comes complete with eight different pads, and can be used simultaneously or one at a time depending on the patients needs. The light that comes from the diodes is absorbed into the blood stream, causing the body to release nitric oxide, making the blood vessels become larger. Because the blood vessels are dilated, they are able to let more blood flow through the area, giving the area being treated more nutrients and oxygen, to assist in the healing process.

The treatment also creates an environment where blood vessels are more likely to grow in the area being treated. There is no pain or discomfort. The only sensation felt is a warm feeling after about quarter of the way through the treatment.

[fontads]Who Can Benefit From Anodyne Treatments?[/fontads]

Almost anyone can benefit from the treatment, from those who are suffering from shoulder or joint pains, ulcers, or even people suffering from diabetic peripheral neuropathy, which is characterized by numb and tingly joints causing loss of sensation in the limbs. Other ailments such as bursitis, tendonitis, fibromyalgia, have also been treated using the Anodyne machine to ease suffering.

Anodyne treatment can be used on almost anyone, although there are a few conditions that should never be treated with the little black box treatment. Cancer patients should avoid treatment. This is because the treatment could draw the cancer cells to other areas of the body. Pregnant women should also avoid this treatment, as the effects have not yet been tested on pregnant women. The therapy is, however, safe to be used on children, those with pacemakers and metal implants.
